If the Grammys happen in a month (and there’s no guarantee they will), Amy Winehouse still ins’t guaranteed a spot on the performance roster. Friends of the troubled singer are telling gossip rags she’ll still have to pass a drug test before the US will grant her a temporary work visa to perform that night!

She’s been on the slow path to recovery, and recent moves on her part have shown she might finally be ready for a change. She’s been visiting her husband less in jail, she dyed her hair blonde (no comments from me on how awful it looks), and she’s been spotted around London with her father, who is championing her sobriety. There is also word from her camp that she’s drastically cut down her drug use. All good things. But that won’t be enough to get her into the country to perform, so she’d better step up on her clean-up if she wants to make it into the Grammys.

Not that her growing drug addiction and jailed husband aren’t bad enough, it would seem Amy herself might end up in jail sometime soon. She’s going to be interviewed by a detective sometime this week after forensic evidence has emerged that may tie Amy directly to the same case that landed her husband in jail.

A source said, “When police received their initial information the inquiry centred on Blake, his friend Brown and the original victim in the case.

“But after seizing a number of documents, it seems there is forensic evidence that may tie Amy directly to the plot. When you think about it, as soon as the figure of £200,000 emerged, the finger of suspicion started to point in her direction.”

Somehow I wouldn’t be suprised if she was in on it. People don’t tend to think too clearly when they’re all drugged up, and that’s a state she’s been in pretty consistently for some time now.

As if we needed any further proof that Amy Winehouse needs to be put back into rehab, she turned up wandering the streets of London at five in the morning in her bra and a pair of jeans, looking severely agitated and clearly coming down from some sort of drug high. She’s been staying at a friend’s house, trying to clean up on her own instead of heading into rehab while her husband is in jail. Looks like that whole “cleaning up” thing isn’t working out so well for her after all … someone needs to get this girl a whole lot of help!

I can’t remember what I looked like. I couldn’t recognise myself. It was terrifying—I was terrified. I was so out of control. It just happened. It shocked me. I’m sorry—I just don’t know what got into me. I never want to feel that way again.I’ve scared myself this time. I was all over the place. I know things have got to change. I have to sort myself out. I’m fine. I’ll be back at work on Monday. I’m fine, honest.

Contrary to many reports, Amy Winehouse has NOT checked into rehab. But it seems that she desperately needs to. After canceling yet another performance she checked into the hospital where she allegedly got her stomach pumped and ducked out before she got further help. Her drug of chose appears to heroine but she may be doing doing crack and cocaine well.

Her friends and family did manage to convince her to rest in a hotel. That plan doesn’t seem to be going so well because she’s back to drinking with the hubby round the hotel grounds.

Janis[Amy’s mom] and the rest of the family persuaded Amy to go to the hotel to recover after her overdose. They hope that by getting her out of the scene around Camden she will be able to see what she is doing to herself.

A psychiatrist may be on the way to see her today even though she’s absolutely dead set against rehab. Sending good vibes to Ms. Amy
