Jamie Lynn’s OK Magazine Interview Snippets
Now that the shock of the littlest Spears’ pregnancy has worn off a little bit, people are publishing parts of her interview with OK Magazine. My favorite parts are below, although I won’t ruin the whole interview for you.
I’m not showing, but some days I’m like: ‘Wow, I feel like I’m showing today,’ and Mom says: ‘No you’re not. Be quiet.’ It’s great to have her there. She is really supportive of me.
I just don’t know that “Be quiet.” is a very supportive thing for a mother to say, but that’s just me. Oh, and she thinks she’ll be a good mom, too. I’m not saying she won’t, I’m just questioning her reasons why:
I love babies, and I have my nephews that I love. I have a great mom and she has raised three kids, so if I take lessons from her, I think I’ll be great. All my friends have little brothers or sisters.
This “great mom” is the same one who let her oldest daughter run wild all over America for all of us to watch, and whose Christian parenting book was put on hold when her sixteen-year-old got pregnant. Wonder how the only remaining Spears child is going to top this drama!
And before anyone gets all “Lynne did the best she could” I just have to say this. No, she did not do the best she could. If it was just one child who was clearly un-parented (Britney) you could maybe make the case for Lynne Spears. But when your other children so easily follow suit? There’s got to be a parenting issue there somewhere.
And the “growing up in Hollywood” excuse doesn’t work on me either, because there’s plenty of child stars who did not end up like this.
